Wilma Tulk

January 11, 1937 — September 24, 2022

Wilma Tulk was born January 11, 1937 in Morton, Texas to Edith Seely. Wilma, the oldest of seven daughters, attended school in Hope, New Mexico, where her family had been ranchers for decades.

She married William (Buddy) Tulk on September 11, 1955. They had just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. They had three children. Barry Tulk who is married to Stephanie. They have one daughter, Caressa Goodman. She has two children, Liam and Kellyn. Daniel Tulk, who has one son, Zach, and he has three daughters, Kamryn, Kylie and Mila. Valerie Kerr, who is married to Nathan, and they have a son, Dalton Kerr and daughter, Morgan Trujillo and one grandson, Beau. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Rexene Jordan.

Wilma and Buddy lived and worked on a ranch in the Guadeloupe Mountains in New Mexico until 1975, when they moved to Durango, Colorado. They loved the San Juan mountains of Southwest Colorado. Wilma especially loved when the Abert squirrels came out of hibernation, and when the hummingbirds returned each year. She took such delight in feeding all of them and watching them from her deck. Her greatest joy, however, was creating oil paintings. She loved when people appreciated and loved her artwork. She was very well known for her quick wit and sense of humor.

In 2006, Buddy and Wilma moved to Maumelle, Arkansas. She and Buddy love Arkansas and treasure the friendships and memories they have made here.

Wilma passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on September 24, 2022 after a long battle with Dementia. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had an intense desire to live in Paradise on earth.
