Common Cremation Questions

What to Expect

  • Our caring transport team from Cyrus will retrieve your loved one and deliver them to one of three cremation centers.
  • The cremation center will ensure proper storage of the deceased and listing any personal effects. They will be tagged with a metal ID tag to help ensure that the person you trusted us with is the person whose remains you receive.
  • If you chose the Enhanced package, you can submit obituary text and photos to amy@arkansascremation.com. Photos must be JPG files. If you want an obituary published in a specific paper, please include that information. We will get a price quote from that pape so you can make the decision on moving forward or not.
  • After the paperwork is completed and the death is registered, we get a permit for cremation.
  • The cremation center schedules the cremation. Remains are delivered to our administrative office once a week.
  • After they are delivered, you will get an email with a link to schedule an appointment to pick up the remains. We value all of our families and require appointments for pick up so that each can have the time they need. (If death certificates were also ordered, they are usually ready for pick up at the same time.)
  • If you choose to have the remains shipped, they will be delivered by hand to the USPS and shipped via Priority Mail, per the law.
